Authorities of Yei municipality are regulating supply of fuel to customers to avoid worsening of the crisis.
Out of the ten filling stations in the town, three of them have run out of fuel, Mayor Santo Paul Lasuba told the press, Radio Easter reports.
He cautions that fuel will not be given in jerrycanes apart from motorbikes and cars.
Mayor Santo also says some traders have closed their businesses in Yei as a result of panic after the announcement of open market for dollars.
