The Speaker of Yei River County Legislative Council appealed for amendment of the Local Government Act to promote full participation.
Cosmas Lasuba Kasiano urges the ministry of Local Government to accept change in the Act to clarify the roles and mandates of the council for effective participation, Radio Easter reported.
Lasuba calls for immediate intervention of the state government to enable the executives monitor and supervise NGOs while implementing development projects.
