CEPO and Canadian Embassy to fight sexual violence in South Sudan

Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO in partnership with the Canadian Embassy in Juba launched an online information sharing platform to report sexual gender-based violence.
 
The systems will allow citizens report cases of sexual violence through mobile text massages, says Canadian Ambassador Nicolas Coughlin, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
The Canadian government contributed about eleven thousand US Dollars for the start of the project in Juba County, says Edmond Yakani, CEPO Director.
 
He notes the project will assist stakeholders to produce annual sexual gender-based violence report.
 
The project is aim at fighting sexual violence through breaking citizens’ silence.
