December 15, 2015 marks exactly two years when violence broke out in Juba and spread to different parts of South Sudan.

To many residents of Juba, the day is unforgettable.

One of them, a woman still feels scared and wonders how the day will end.

She sees no sign of peace, but silent economic war characterized with rising prices of commodities.

The woman calls upon the government to implement the signed peace agreement.

Another resident says South Sudanese need peace to improve their livelihoods.

To another resident, December 15 without peace means a bad experience.

He fears that the presence of some citizens in IDPs’ camps and fighters still struggling in bush are signals of impending danger.

On December 15, 2013, fighting started between the government and the SPLM/A in Opposition headed by Dr Riek Machar.

About 20 thousand people were estimated to have been killed in the offensive.
