The national Minister of Agriculture on Monday presents 25-year Comprehensive Agriculture Master Plan to parliament for endorsement.
The plan will be a roadmap for prosperity, economic development and food security all over the country if approved by the parliament, says Beda Machar Deng.
Minister Machar says the master plan transforms agriculture from subsistence to commercial farming to boost trade and job creation.
There will be improvement of livelihood and prevention of natural disasters such as floods and droughts, he explains.
Acting Speaker Mark Nyipouch Ubong refers the Comprehensive Agriculture Master Plan to the specialized Committees of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment for analysis.
The committees are expected to report their analysis to the Augus House within 14 days, says the Acting Speaker.
The master plan is expected to cost 630 million US Dollars in the next five years.
