Most schools do not have enough teachers and learning materials, laments Director-General for education in the Nuba Mountains’ region of Sudan.
Nicola Hamddan Ibbra says pupils from primary four to class eight do not have materials for writing or reading, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Most schools in Western Jebel, Rashad and New Tagali are desperately in need of teachers and learning materials, says the director.
Hamddan adds that most teachers especially from Western Jebel do not have proper accommodation or transport facilities.
Some teachers had deserted teaching due to lack of incentives for motivation, he laments.
Support education for the betterment of their children, Hamddan urges the Nuba community.
