15 groups of the civil society say citizens expect the government and IGAD heads of state summit to resolve economic hardships in South Sudan.

There are eight expectations from citizens, on the top are addressing economic crisis and implementing peace agreement, says James Bidali Ruba, the CEPO Communication Officer.

The economic crisis also affects the work of the civil society organizations, says Glamourson Eale of the Women Empowerment for Reconciliation and Development.

He says civil society organizations need resources to disseminate peace messages.

The civil society organizations already sent people’s expectations for redress to IGAD, says Wodcan Saviours, Director for Support Peace Initiative Development Organization.

The civil society organizations welcome the start of the redeployment of the SPLA out Juba City as part of the peace deal implementation.
