Thursday constitutional amendment removes the territory composition of ten states, remarks Member of Parliament.

Tulio Odongi Ayahu who is also Government Chief Whip in parliament says the amendment shall come into force as soon as President Salva Kiir signs it, Radio Bakhita reports.

There must have been a mistake in specifying number of states in 2011 Transitional Constitution, he believes.

The National Legislative Assembly did not discuss the Establishment Order on 28 States by President Kiir because it is within the competence of the Council States, he explains.

MP Odongi believes opposition MPs must have accumulated anger to question the quorum in the sitting.

Opposition MPs walked out of the house in protest, saying the amendment is unconstitutional.

37 members from Equatoria region boycotted the sitting for undermining the peace agreement that has become supreme by law.
