Wau Catholic Diocese priest cautions church leaders against abandoning their career in Christian ministry for government employment.

Defection from church to government is a threat to Christian faith, says Fr Gabriel Loliwe.

The priest says many of his colleagues leave the church for political positions because of desiring money for life enjoyment, Radio Bakhita reports.

Fr Loliwe also warns Christians against abandoning the church because of suspicion on misconduct.

The priest says unfaithfulness among Christian husbands and wives has caused several families to break up.

He cautions husbands against desire to marry more wives.

Fr Loliwe was preaching at St Joseph’s Parish in Juba.
