An independent lawyer in Juba is reminding church to talk about peace rather than playing a negative role.

Amanya Joseph made the remark in a workshop organized by Catholic Archdiocese of Juba to enlighten parishioners about the recently signed peace agreement. He observes that the church plays a positive role but it has been affected by the recent war, Radio Bakhita reported.

Archdiocesan Secretary General Gabriel Asida advises Christians to implement the meaning of peace to neighbors and families.

He adds that as church personnel, they should not only wait to hear from politicians about the peace deal to inform people.

The two days workshop brought together over 70 participants from all parishes in juba and government officials.
