Hundreds of people from Lokiliri Payam on Tuesday protested about the demarcation and sale of a disputed Nesitu area along Juba-Nimule road.
Kudwo Boma Sub-chief Simon Lodu Tombe accuses authorities of Juba County and the Payam of demarcating the land without consulting the natives, Radio Bakhita reported.
Likiliri Payam Director Arkangelo Wani urges the protestors to refrain from violence and be patient because county authority would address their complaints.
The Nesitu area is contested between Kudwo and Lomer Bomas, with both parties claiming ownership of the area.
