Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Torit calls on families to have faith.

Monsignor Thomas Oliha urges Catholics to be faithful to their family life, reconcile, forgive and love one another to receive God’s blessings, Radio Emmanuel reported.

He expects Pope Francis to tell the Church during his Africa visit in November to seek unity and love in families.

Monsignor Oliha preaches that the Catholic Church refuses homosexuality and divorce.

The three-week long Synod of Bishops discussed issues facing families and debated over the language to be used in speaking about homosexuality.

The Synod concluded with the Bishops voting on a final document and the role of each generation in nurturing faith.

They also approved a statement on families affected by conflicts in the Middle East, Africa and Ukraine.
