President Kiir to sign East African Community treaty in November

South Sudan is expected to join the East African Community on November 30, announces Presidential Advisor on Economic Affairs.
 
Aggrey Tisa Sabuni told the National Legislature on Monday that President Salva Kiir is signing the treaty at the end of next month.
 
Members of Parliament including Mary Kiden Kimbo of Central Equatoria have some reservations though they believes that South Sudan should build the labour capacity first for favourable competition.
 
Warrap State MP Aleu Ayieng Aleu fears the membership of East African Community will give foreigners even more chance to dominate the informal sector.
 
Assembly Minority Leader Onyoti Adigo Nyikwec wonders why the government is hurrying to join the body amidst several domestic problems.
 
Morobo County MP Remijo Lasu sees something positive in the membership.
 
He believes signing the treaty relieves South Sudanese from paying expensive visas to East African countries.
