Wau Municipality threatens to sue 16 tax collectors

Wau Municipality is demanding 16 tax collectors and administrators to appear before them for explanation for failing to bring government revenue record form 15 and the money they collected or they sue them to competent court.
 
An official only identified as Eliah says they are serious about the threat since South Sudan cannot develop by misusing resources, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
 
Tax revenue collectors’ Chief Administrator Remijo Hassan Severio accuses the 16 tax collectors of disappearing with the forms and the cash.
 
A shopkeeper in Jou Market, Gabriel Louis complains that they pay too much tax every year with hope that roads would be repaired but roads remain with potholes.
 
Businessman Sebit Augustino wonders where the taxes collected monthly go to because they see no development.
