The United Nations or UN on Friday marks its 70th anniversary ahead of October 24th, under the theme ‘Strong UN Better World’; declaring 70 achievements in South Sudan including commitment to peace and security, development, humanitarian assistance and human rights’ promotion.
UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General in South Sudan Ellen Margrethe L√∏ej presents Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon’s message that the day is a moment to recognize UN’s dedication and honour for those who sacrifice lives in duty to save lives.
The Special Representative appreciates all UN workers for relentless efforts and commitment in service amidst challenges.
Madam Margrethe expresses UN continuous support to the people of South Sudan.
