Kajo-Keji County’s Comboni Comprehensive College-Lomin administration urges South Sudanese not to misunderstand recent students’ fight that left scores hospitalized as political or administrative.

Comboni College Principal Okumu James Alau tells CRN in a telephone interview on Friday that the cause of the fight was a simple scramble for water between two students of different ethnicity that could have been settled at school level.

Principal James explains that the case reached County Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni as the top security officer because police and security personnel were involved in the students’ fracas and that once the hostile students finish with the police case, the College shall use its regulations to determine their fate without compromise.

The College Principal discloses that it is the first time in history that a tribal fight has taken place in the Catholic institution that embraces all races for decades.
