South Sudan Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in partnership with UNICEF is today Thursday celebrating Global Hand Washing in Juba.
The celebration is designed to emphasize the benefits of simple and affordable practice of hand washing with soap in the prevention of common deadly diseases such as diarrhea and pneumonia.
Electricity, Dams, Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Jemma Nunu Kumba and Central Equatoria Education Minister Clement Maring Samuel and UNICEF Representative in South Sudan Jonathan Veitch among others are expected for the occasion at Malakia Primary School.
The invitation indicates that many countries around the world are holding activities to promote Global Hand Washing practice.
