Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS is preparing to celebrate International Day to End Impunity for crimes against Journalists on November 2 in Juba.
UJOSS General-Secretary Edward Lodu Terso told Radio Bakhita in a telephone interview on Wednesday that the Day is to advocate for free media to enable journalists work without threats and harassments.
He emphasizes the need for recognizing Journalism as a profession because media organizations have a major role to play in the country.
International Day to End Impunity for crimes against Journalists is expected to attract various national ministries, partners and members of media houses.
