Presidency says Warrap disputes not politically motivated

Presidential Press Secretary says the fighting in Warrap State is communal due to grazing land and not politically motivated.
 
Ateny Wek Ateny told CRN that the fighting between Jalwau and Luoc communities that killed dozens and wounded 94 people was not internal border dispute in the newly created state.
 
Police Spokesperson Colonel James Monday Enoka says they are expecting a comprehensive report from the State Police Commissioner to know the number of casualties, but that now the situation is under control.
 
He expresses concerns to protect lives and property of South Sudanese, advising citizens that the creation of new states should be the source of service delivery, integrity and prosperity in the country.
 
The Police Spokesperson explains that if the conflict in Warrap is politicized, political leadership of the country and the state would address it.
