AMECEA Secretaries discuss 2018 plenary in Addis Ababa

The Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa or AMECEA Secretary-Generals met in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from Thursday to Friday and discussed 2018 plenary under the theme: ‘Ethnicity and violence, a call to justice in AMECEA region’.
 
Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC Secretary-General Fr Jacob Odwa Paul told CRN on Tuesday that Ethiopian Catholic Church and the government are preparing to host the big meeting which he describes ‘as very important’.
 
He says Vice Chancellors of the Catholic Universities of AMECEA countries met and tackled management of the institutions and challenges facing them, adding that Rectors of Major Seminaries are also expected to meet and discuss about formation.
 
The AMECEA Secretary-Generals in their two-day meeting evaluated the first phase capacity building of American Catholic Bishops Conference to AMECEA countries before starting the second one in 2016.
