Thousands of Christians in the Catholic Diocese of Torit on Saturday congregated to celebrate the feast of St Daniel Comboni at St Peter and Paul Cathedral.
Apostolic Administrator Monsignor Thomas Oliha in his homily describes St Daniel Comboni as a Good Shepherd who died for his sheep, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He notes that St Daniel Comboni saved Africa from abject poverty, diseases and injustices.
The Apostolic Administrator says Daniel Comboni attempted harsh situations while proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to redeem Africans.
