Western Bahr El Ghazal State Governor told cabinet in a briefing that President Salva Kiir Mayardit decision of creating 28 new states was not final.

Rizig Zachariah Hassan explains that the ten state governors in Juba discussed peace agreement implementation processes, new states to be deliberated by the national parliament and that some concerns citizens raised would be resolved, Radio Voice of Hope reported.

He observed that after the announcement of the new states many reservations about the names and locations of some states demand remapping.

Governor Zachariah says his government accepted the divisions of Bahr El Ghazal but that Raja deserves to be a separate state.

The chiefs of Raja community also rejected the order joining them to Aweil preferring to either have separate state or remain in Western Bahr El Ghazal State.
