Yei Municipal Health Inspector urges citizens to join hands in getting rid of facilitators of waterborne diseases.
Joyce Sadia Clement tells Radio Easter that many people suffer from typhoid and malaria due to mismanagement of water points and waste in their compounds, appealing to residents to construct latrines far from boreholes to avoid contamination.
She challenges masses to clear up nearby bushes and stagnant water to prevent breeding mosquitoes, advising them to always sleep under treated mosquito nets.
The Municipal Health Inspector also tells citizens to cover food and water properly to shun germs from falling on edible materials.
