Eve Organization for Women Development points out economic situation and insecurity as a big problem especially the rampant killings going on and the unnecessary rise in prices, expecting the government to put more measures on how to safeguard citizens and reduce the cost of living but not creating new states.

Program Manager Catherine Pita told CRN reporter in an interview that South Sudanese are more ready to hear how better security in the new nation would be.

“But the problem is not really the creation of more states at the time. As South Sudanese, we have many other important things that we should focus on but not really the issue of this states, she insisted

The Program Manager argues that the establishment came at a time when people do not expect or are not ready . “I would have loved to hear the government bringing more decrees or putting more measures on how to really safeguard the security of citizens than coming up with this 28 states”, she adds.

“You may have heard also of the too many killings of people especially in Juba. Not even Juba town alone even in the states. There are so many killings going arround and this one of Juba is really too much because others even happen during broad day light. So these are the things that i would love to hear people talking about it and government  also stepping in and taking drastic measures of how these issues can be handled”.

She observes that it is not clear that the warring parties have embrased the peace because of attacks and accusations from both sides, advising them to implement the agreement and look forward on how to iron things.
