Saint Francis of Assisi Chapel Bokso of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in El Obeid Catholic Diocese on Sunday celebrated its patron’s feast.
Parish Priest Francis Angela in his homily told the congregation that the Chapel is dedicated to St Francis of Assisi who chose poverty, advising people to emulate their patron, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
He reminded the Christians to pray for the Pope, who chose the name Francis to administer the Church in the spirit of Francis of Assisi, asking them to pray for him, all people named Francis and Franciscans Congregation to lead an exemplary life.
The Bokso Chapel changed its name to Saint Francis of Assisi after realizing that its feast coincides with Lent.
