Citizens in Wau have mixed views following the presidential order for the creation of 28 states in the country issued over the weekend.
Many students of University of Bahr El Ghazal appreciate President Salva Kiir for establishing new states, but that it would be difficult to implement due to lack of resources, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
Ordinary citizens on streets and civil society groups say the decision is good but did not get proper calculation as per the Peace Agreement principles.
The establishment order said the president is expected to appoint state governors and legislatures within 30 days.
