The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on the feast of Archangels on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed Church dedicated to St Gabriel in Diggala village affiliated to Holy Trinity Parish.

Bishop Santo Loku Pio says the Archdiocese is establishing a strong foundation in the name of St Gabriel, the patron of communicators who passed God’s messages to many people in the world, Radio Bakhita reported.

He believes the presence of St Gabriel along Juba-Yei road would continue to carry and announce the message of peace to people, assuring travelers of the safety because of God’s presence.

The Bishop urges the people of Diggala worldwide to come home to celebrate the feast of St Gabriel annually as a symbol of presence of God among them, unity and rebuilding the nation.

He urges all Christians and people of good will to support building of more churches in various villages.
