Civil society urges government to use budgets for service delivery

Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development or CEFORD in Yei River County urges authorities to implement their budget to provide services to people.
 
Executive Director Mawa George Lazarus sees that people at the grass roots are in need of service delivery especially education, health and infrastructure, Radio Easter reported.
 
He appeals for transparency and accountability.
 
Mr George suggested the need to strengthen budget monitoring mechanisms and ensure critical follow up of the approved budget and put an eye on service delivery to citizens.
 
Yei River County Legislative Council on Thursday passed the 2015/2016 budget of twenty-three million, two hundred and thirty-four thousand, five hundred and fifteen South Sudanese Pounds.
