The Anglican Consultative Council or ACC says they rejoice that a peace agreement is signed in South Sudan, tasking leaders to implement the deal fairly and generously to seek justice not advantage and peace not personal gain.

In a statement CRN received, it urgently calls for reconciliation process to begin.

The Anglican Consultative Council believes that it is essential that sufficient security is created for churches and other civil society groups to disseminate and communicate the contents of the peace agreement to South Sudanese.

It assigns neighbouring countries and the African Union to support the agreement, asking for UN’s capacity work to be strengthened in the country.
