Yei River County Education Director in Central Equatoria State told South Sudanese to embark on sports to improve relations among tribes as the nation recovers from violence.
Philip Taban Issa during the finals of inter-payams primary schools tournament at Yei Freedom Square on Sunday evening said the completion brought together people from the four Payams to know one another, Radio Easter reported.
He appeals to citizens to value sports in getting rid of segregation, disunity and build a lasting peace in the nation, adding that sport is one of the best activities that build healthy bodies able to resist diseases.
The Director applauds the girls who fully dedicated their time practicing football to develop their God given talents, announcing that next year’s inter-payams competition is expected to take place in Lasu Payam.
