National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation Committee disclosed a plan to include the Diaspora community members in various countries to preach harmony in the country.

The Committee Communication and Information Officer Peter Kuot Ngong told Radio Emmanuel after the graduation of 55 peace mobilizers in Torit on Monday that the Diaspora body is vital to ensure peace and reconciliation in South Sudan.

He said the committee wants to engage South Sudanese Diaspora because they posted messages with tribal sentiments that devastated citizens at home, pointing out that some of the Diaspora members traveled to participate in the conflict.

Mr Kuot said the Committee is facing financial challenges that delay the process of holding conferences in US, Canada and Australia.

The Communication and Information Officer disclosed that Human Rights Activist John Prendergast would organize the first peace campaign at Washington DC in September.
