South Sudan Red Cross on Friday donated a wheelchair to a child with disability in Torit town of Eastern Equatoria State.
The wheel-chair 13-year-old beneficiary, Emmanuel Batista, appreciated Red Cross for the support, saying he had difficulties in going to school, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Batista Bona, the father to the boy said he tried writing for help to several non-governmental organizations without any response.
He urged South Sudan Red Cross to continue with the initiative of helping people with disabilities.
South Sudan Red Cross Director for Eastern Equatoria State Janet Lakony Karlo pledged their commitment to empower people with disabilities.
