Yei Catholic Diocese Vicar General is calling on South Sudanese to put into practice the word of God and avoid lip service to save the country from being a laughing stock.
In his Sunday homily at Christ the King Cathedral, Fr Zachariah Angutuwa Sebit, said acts of pride, drunkenness, insults, lack of forgiveness and dodging of prayers in churches show that citizens lack discipline and intellect to detect the wisdom of God, Radio Easter reported.
He told Christians to pray enough, always attend Sunday services and denounce evil acts, calling on them to address family difficulties with God’s wisdom.
Fr Angutuwa expressed happiness over the signing of the peace agreement, telling the parties to implement it for citizens to return home and restart national reconstruction.
