The International Organization for Migration or IOM and European Union or EU collaborate on community transition and development in Pibor Administrative area of Jonglei State.
 
In a statement CRN received IOM says it was pleased to host the European Union or EU Ambassador to South Sudan Stefano Deleo, US Ambassador Mary Catherine Phee and South Sudan Ministers to participate in the official opening of six new classrooms, two in the boy’s school and four in the girl’s at the main Primary School compound.
 
IOM says it collaborated closely with the Peace and Stability Quick Impact Fund on subsequent community stabilization and transition projects.
 
The EU Ambassador reaffirmed during a meeting with Cobra Faction leader David Yau Yau the commitment of the EU to reconciliation and peace building.
 
The two new classrooms improve learning conditions for former child soldiers and other children in the area.
 
IOM Chief of Mission David Derthick handed over the classrooms over to Deputy Chief Administrator David Okweir.
