The Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS Bishop of Rumbek Diocese on Wednesday disclosed a strategic plan to open a radio station in the upcoming September and train 15 pastors for the next five years.

In a ceremony attended by several Christians at St Barnabas Cathedral Bishop Alpayo Manyang Kuctiel said August 26 marked his twelve years as Bishop in Rumbek Diocese since 2003, Radio Good News reported.

He recalled that it was a challenging task to take over a Diocese without a Bishop for 18 years and that his hard work helped the Diocese to grow and managed to produce three other Dioceses including Pacong, Akot and Malek-Rup during the twelve years of service.

Bishop Manyang appreciated the State Education Ministry for the excellent performance in the National Exams despite challenges of insecurity in the state.

He urged citizens of Lakes State to imitate the spirit of reconciliation after a fight that left some people dead last month.
