Water main cause of conflict between South Sudan and Sudan

Concordis International that organized two-day conference on South Sudan and Sudan border area development observes that access to water and grazing land is the main cause of conflict between South Sudan and Sudan in the border area.
 
Country Director Mauro Tadiwe explains that the only solution for the two countries is border demarcation, spelling out rights and duties of both citizens and listening to their will in any political settlement.
 
One of the Northern Bar El Ghazal Peace Monitors recommends building of dams and creating water points to address the issue.
 
The participant urges the conflicting groups to embrace peaceful co-existence.
