Eastern Equatoria State Assembly on Monday joined the people of Western Equatoria State to mourn the late speaker James Bage Elias.
State Assembly Speaker Tobiolo Oromo expresses heartfelt and profound condolences to the family and people of Western Equatoria, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He condemns the assassination of the late Speaker Bage by unknown gunmen on Friday while serving the people of Western Equatoria and South Sudan at large.
Speaker Tobiolo regrets that Western Equatoria State Speaker died when South Sudanese are craving for comprehensive and sustainable peace.
He terms the act as barbaric, calling on the government to investigate the matter and bring perpetrators to courts of law.
