The killing of the Corporate reporter Moi Peter Julius in Juba forced journalists in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal to join three-day mourning and a 24-hour total black out in protest of his cold blood death.

Union of Journalist of South Sudan Western Bahr El Ghazal State Secretary James Deng Dimo described the killing of their colleague as a setback to media houses across the country, Radio Voice of Hope reported.

He stressed the need to value media practitioners’ life in South Sudan than killing them in unclear circumstances, calling on the government to bring perpetrators to book.

The shooting dead of Moi Peter Julius brought the number of journalists killed in South Sudan to eights: five killed on Wau-Raja road early this year, one in Akobo after Abraham Isaiah.
