The National Alliance says there is nothing to consult about to sign peace on the deadline because the IGAD Plus Compromise Agreement was released since July 23 and discussed for almost one month, arguing that the government had enough time to consult.

The Alliance Chairman Lam Akol Ajawin told journalists in Juba that it was unfortunate that the government said it wants to consult to go back to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

An Alliance member David William while presenting the statement commends the stakeholders for appending their signatures for peace, appealing to the government to do so as soon as possible.

He warns that any day that passes without peace means lost of more lives and that no party can hope to take all what it wants but it is about give and take.

The Alliance urges the warring parties to stop war and sign peace as South Sudanese deserve peace.
