United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees or UNHCR on Wednesday donated two new Land cruisers to Education and Local Government ministries, promising more support to the Western Equatoria State government.
UNHCR Country Representative Ahmad Warseme appreciated the state government and citizens for hosting Congolese refugees for many years, Radio Anisa reported.
Education Minister Pia Philip Michael praised UNHCR for the support and that it would help them manage education in the two refugee camps of Napere in Ezo and Makpandu in Yambio Counties.
Deputy Governor Sapana Abui says the state government’s door is opened for anybody seeking refuge, reassuring partners to improve the security situation in Yambio.
