Western Bahr El Ghazal State Health Ministry is conducting four-day workshop to draft its strategic plan to guide health system in the next five years.
State Health Minister Isaac Cleto Hassan in the opening remarks said the workshop aims at collecting views from various health providers to draft an inclusive policy that would improve health services, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He directed the participants to get involved in the formulation of clear policy for data collection for public and private sectors to reduce mortality and morbidity rates in women and children.
Health Ministry Director-General James Ukello Margen exhorted participants to train their junior staff to improve the health system for the upcoming workforce.
Nineteen medical personnel from Health ministry departments, UN agencies, county health departments and partners are attending the workshop at Daraja in Wau.
