The South Sudan Law Review Commission on Tuesday started its review program by preparing and receiving enquiries and proposals pertaining to law review.
Acting Chairperson Martinson Mathew Oturomoi revealed that the Commission would identify and eliminate inconsistencies and anomalies in the working system, Radio Bakhita reported.
He disclosed that simplifying, consolidating and recommending for repeal of unnecessary laws or unconstitutional laws are other duties of the Commission.
The Acting Chairperson said the team is expected to undertake research and examination into any branch of the law and formulates proposals for its review.
Mr Oturomoi added that the Commission is also tasked to prepare and revise legislation at the request of the Ministry of Justice, other ministries and institutions.
