Children in Juba during the National Platform for Peace and Reconciliation peace campaign on Saturday expressed their solidarity with their fellow kids undergoing difficulties in various camps inside South Sudan and in foreign countries.
The Platform Coordinator William Ongoro said the campaign under the theme: ‘Re-awakening a common call for peace in South Sudan’ aims to enable the country leaders to listen to people especially youth and children’s cry for peace, Radio Bakhita reported.
Gudele East One Primary School pupil Christine Manase believes that through peace South Sudan would be a great country, encouraging fellow school children to join hands, care and collectively work to raise the name of the nation.
The campaign that started with a debate, witnessed Comboni Secondary School winning the trophy with 80.2 percent points against Big Ben Secondary School with 76 percent.
