Eastern Equatoria State receives Anti-Corruption Commission assessment report, revealing irregularities in revenue collection at border checkpoints.
State Information Minister Mark Akio Ukinbul disclosed to Radio Emmanuel in an interview on Tuesday that the government is still analyzing the report.
The minister, who declined to disclose details in the report, only insisted that it reveals challenges on revenue collection, adding that the report calls for solution to ensure revenues collected are deposited to government treasuries.
Minister Akio says the state council of ministers would deliberate on the report to decide the next step and take legal action against those involved in irregular operations of revenue collections at the border points.
The State Anti-corruption Commission compiled the report after assessing three border checkpoints of Nadapal, Tseretenya and Nimule.
