Yei masses consult on IGAD-Plus Compromise Peace Agreement proposal

Civil society organizations, faith based organizations and ordinary citizens in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State are holding two-day consultative meeting on the IGAD-Plus Peace Agreement proposal.
 
Community Empowerment Progress Organization or CEPO and CEFORD organized the meeting, Radio Easter reported.
 
CEFORD Executive Director Mawa George Lazarus says citizens’ voices would be incorporated into the peace agreement.
 
The director calls on warring leaders and IGAD- Plus mediation to put citizens’ interests in the centre of the negotiations to realize lasting peace.
 
The consultative meeting is expected to conclude on Wednesday.
