Yei Municipality Deputy Mayor in Central Equatoria State has accused fuel station managers of inciting recent Boda-boda strike that damaged eight fuel stations and involvement in black business.

Deputy Mayor Silvano Ali Sanguson says the fuel stations incited the motorcycle riders to strike although the municipal authority increased the fuel sale per litre to eight South Sudanese Pounds, Radio Easter reported.

He says security operatives are investigating some fuel stations for allegedly pumping fuel into black market to sell in higher prices to secure exorbitant profits.

The Deputy Mayor calls on citizens to embark on agriculture to fight hunger and worsening economic crisis.
