South Sudanese children say education saves life amidst conflict

Save the Children on Tuesday launched ‘Hear it from the Children’ report demanding prioritization of education for children amidst conflict where kids in a video and audio message say they want to learn even during war.
 
Save the Children South Sudan Director Pete Walsh declares that children all over the country see education as a means of transformation, ascension to future leadership and life saving in conflict situation.
 
National Education Minister Dr John Gai Yoh admits that prosperity, development and transformation of warring South Sudanese society are only possible through education.
 
He says education is essential in changing South Sudanese attitudes of fighting themselves and that by law education is compulsory and free in South Sudan.
