James Jock Abraham describes July 30 as great occasion that citizens need to reflect on and remember contributions of the martyrs towards the existence of the country, Radio Bakhita reported.
He encourages South Sudan youth to unite and mobilize communities to accept peace.
Another citizen, Peter Garbino, encourages citizens to always remember heroes, heroines and all martyrs who died during the liberation struggle.
Amnuyal Atim, a parishioner of St Kizito Parish, cautions South Sudanese against war and urges them to accomplish the task left by the martyrs.
She calls on her fellow country men and women to unite and embrace peaceful co-existence among communities.
