A priest in Yei Catholic Diocese says the ongoing war demonstrates that South Sudan politicians ‘learnt confusion’ in school.

Christ the King Cathedral Parish Priest Tom Poru Martin in his homily on Sunday said the current conflict means the intellect got from school became useless as those leading the war to ruin the nation are PhD holders, Radio Easter reported.

He says the nation became a ‘laughing stock in Africa’ due to power greed, urging citizens to pray for the leaders so that God changes their hearts.

Last week, South Sudan women from different denominations in Yei conducted two-day prayer and fasting for peace and reconciliation in the country.
