El Obeid Catholic Diocesan Education Coordinator Sister Cathy Solano, Governor of Nuba Mountains Simon Kalu and Education Minister Tijani Tima call on St Joseph Secondary Senior Four students preparing to sit for KCSE exams to be patient.

In an e-mail to Radio Voice of Peace this morning, Sister Solano says eight of the 20 candidates are able to go for their KCSE but 12 cannot.

She adds that there was a small possibility that a further three more candidates may attend KCSE exams as they passed the qualifying exam in 2010, adding that they were waiting for confirmation from Nairobi KNEC.

Sr Solano says the rest of the candidates who did not pass the qualifying test in 2010 will re-sit to qualifyi in November so that they can sit for KCSE next year.

The Education Coordinator attributed the inconveniencies to changes in the Kenyan government and Kenyan National Exams Centre or KNEC because of the new Education Minister and what was agreed with the KNEC was no longer valid.
